The Hygieia Network

ISSA Hygieia Network is an international association dedicated to the advancement of women at all levels in the global cleaning industry.

The association provides opportunities for growth, education and coaching to women in the sector, and is made up of manufacturers, distributors and cleaning companies of all sizes and nationalities.

Project motivation

The association emerged as an initiative of the CEO and Diversey board of directors in 2015, with the goal of providing education and professional development for any woman working in the industry.

Social action

The association raised more than a million dollars in five years to organize seminars, diversity training, recognition awards and an official mentoring program

Return of investment

The financial and time investment by Diversey resulted in improved external reputation and employee engagement, increased media attention and customer loyalty.

What better way is there to teach by example?

In Hygieia we identify personal stories of women who managed to achieve their dream, overcoming adverse situations.

From the insecure girl who followed her grandmother’s advice to trust in education, to the case of a political refugee who emigrates to protect her children and has to start from scratch.
